The pic is of the hogenakkal waterfalls - which i saw being used fora) washing off oil after the ayurvedic massage offered there
b) washing clothes, utensils, you name it
c) boating in these cute round boats called parasils. if the boatman likes you he spins the boat around in the same spot, which frankly, doesn’t make you like the boatman very much
I’m in a workshop, where we’re upgrading our web-related skills. So this is the first post in a new blog, and I thought I’d start it by reviewing what the first 28 days of this year have been like.
Things I’ve done:
1. spent a week in a village with naxalites, child marriage, female foeticide, the 1st rural bpo in the country and vanishing livelihoods
2. spent a weekend in mahabalipuram and bought a top that was darned with gold thread
3. spent a weekend in pondicherry and lay on the rocks under the stars while a band played rock music in the background
4. hugged - or rather, was hugged by - mata amritanandamayi out of curiosity, but was surprised to smell her fragrance for the next five hours, even when we were miles away
5. ate hashbrown omlette with baked beans, potato wedges and bread with an after eight mint shake last night
Things I will do in the next 4 hours:
1. Have my own domain name website! woohoo!
as you can guess the posts that will pepper this blog will be intermittent, dotted with badly concealed narcississm and digressions on things i ate.
welcome to my world!
